Tim’s background parallels Greig’s in two ways: both grew up in agricultural environments and both worked as engineers. But their stories diverge from there. The farm Tim grew up on is in north-central South Dakota, where the farms are big and the crops are small (small grains, mostly).
Tim still works in an engineering environment, now in a management role, at an aerospace company in Phoenix, where he is honing his pastoral skills. Tim and his wife Barbara live in Peoria, Arizona. Their two daughters, Hannah and Naomi, are both starting careers of their own.
Tim has been involved in various leadership roles in Christian ministries, including marriage ministry and prayer ministry, as well as leading small groups and teaching classes. He has been privileged to travel extensively for work in both Europe and Asia, and has enjoyed learning about their culture and their food. This has also given him the opportunity to connect with Christians in other countries. It’s an eye-opening experience to see how churches survive and thrive in environments that are more restricted to the spread of the Gospel.
