Winter 2006

Dear friends. Lots of travel and stories to tell occurred over the last 3 months. What follows is a brief summary of my activities.

On September 1, Robert Johnson and I arrived in Finland where we met up with the main northern Europe section of our team, Keijo and Haanu, and ministered a bit in Finland. After ministering for a short time in Finland, we took a ferry across the Balkan Sea, arriving in the capital of Estonia .We then traveled into Estonia and ministered in several cities, some speaking Estonian and others Russian. After a week, we traveled to Latvia and spoke at an airport hotel conference and a nearbyimgBaltic storybook town before heading back to Finland. At strategic places in each of those 3 countries, we were asked to come back sometime and they would host an open-to-everyone conference where we could expound on the prophetic messages God has given us to deliver to His church. We snapped a picture of our US and Finish team with ministers from Latvia and Britain on the Baltic beach in Latvia.

Ten days after getting back from Estonia and Latvia, I headed to Argentina until mid December. After settling back into my apartment in Buenos Aires, I traveled to Uruguay. The Lord gave me visions of crossing the Plat (Silver), a 100 mile wide river delta from Buenos Aires to Uruguay, but that did not make sense because the large city of Paysandú where I was traveling was much easier to get to by car. In fact a pastor from Uruguay was headed down to pick me up when the main highway to northern Uruguay was closed by Argentineans protesting the building of a Finish paper plant in Uruguay. That was certainly the enemy at work trying to cause divisions among three countries that I believe are very closely tied spiritually and, which, are all 3 bases for this ministry. I ended up taking the ferry across to the southern end of Uruguay. The Lord used me to minister, largely due to the Kingdom-mindedness of the principal pastor I worked with in 3 different denominations in Paysandú, the 2nd largest city in Uruguay. A highlight for me was when God led me to pray for a man’s back, without him telling me he had a back problem, and the Lord completely healed it after months of pain. This man happened to be the owner of the house that I would have to myself to stay in over the imgLuisfollowing week. Before I left he said, "The house is yours to stay in whenever you are in Uruguay; you and any companions". Only the Lord knows the perfect who, how, when and where. Healed Luis is pictured here with his happy wife.

I then passed through Southern Argentina along with one of our Argentina partners, Ivan Vargas, ministering in almost all the places in the province of Santa Cruz where we have ministered in the past. God made some more amazing connections with some apostles in business and politics who chauffeured us to most of our destinations as we talked about the new things God wants to establish for His church.

Robert Johnson flew directly to the capital city of Santa Cruz from Buenos Aires to meet up with us on Nov. 1. God connected us to the leader of the pastors’ fellowship there in the city of Rio Gallegos. We ministered in his Assemblies of God fellowship for 2 nights where God moved mightily, especially on the musicians, to the point where we were left without music. It was cool, not the part about being left without music, but why it happened.

The 3 of us then traveled to the largest city and southern most point on the mainland in Chile, Punta Arenas, where the Lord made quick connections to several key leaders. Ivan had to return back to Argentina shortly after we arrived but God then connected Robert and me to the founder of the Interdenominational Bible Institute there. He had a dream 2 months earlier when ministering in Cuba about 2 imgCrossguys that would come to help move the church there into the future. Robert and I were the guys in his dream. He said to advise him before we come to Chile the next time and he will host a multi-denominational conference, just for us to deliver what the Lord gives us. This monument always points towards the Southern Cross constellation, the visual reference point for navigation in the southern hemisphere.

Robert and I returned to Buenos Aires where we ministered in a large fruitful church. Robert then flew back to the US and I headed north to the provinces of Catamarca and then later to Tucuman. In Catamarca, the Lord matched the schedule he had given me previously with the schedule of the leaving and entering supervisors for the Church of God, who supervise over 200 congregations in northern Argentina. He used me to confirm several things to them and other leaders along the way. I was friends with the leaving supervisor, now I’m good friends with the new one. I believe the way God strategically connects people is more amazing than those healing and imgRicardodeliverance miracles I have witnessed. In Tucuman, I visited with the professors of the Bible institute there and was then invited to speak to the students, some future key leaders. The director of the school, Ricardo, is pictured here with his wife, child and some students.

I live because He lives, but I am productive because we are working as a team with Him. Whatever your part on this team, thank you for holding me up. I am looking forward to a few weeks of down time in Oregon, Texas and Arizona before heading to Spain with Robert and possibly others in February. Schedule information will be posted on the web. Intercessors, please keep alert even during our downtime and thanks for interceding for us sent ones with His love.

Fall 2006

Dear friends. As many of you know, in June Robert Johnson and I traveled to Romania where we joined forces for 2 weeks with an evangelistic team now operating in Romania. Jared Worby, our host, has been head of a tent ministry for imgTentInsidemany years in several countries in Latin America and Europe. He moves a huge circus like tent from city to city, gathering the various congregations of the church in that city together to unite in giving the good news of the Kingdom of God through Jesus Christ to the local community. Although our message was, again, primarily to the church, the Lord used us to touch some people who had not yet entered into His Kingdom.

There was no doubt we were confronting demonic principalities here in the region we visited known as Transilvania. The woman shown here wearing the Jesus Freak shirt manifested demonically as we were ministering to her in the city of Arad. When we imgJesusFreaksee those things, it reminds us that we are not battling people but demonic beings in the spiritual realm that are using people with plans to eventually destroy them.

At one time, Romania was one of the most powerful and modern countries in Europe. This street lamp sign says that the provincial capital city of Timisoura was the first city in Europe to install electrically illuminated street lights. Although imgLampRomania is advancing after the fall of communism in the 80′s, it is still one of the poorest countries in Europe. It serves as a reminder that powerful nations can lose power very quickly when they move away from operating according to God’s instructions.

It is said that if you want to see old Europe, go to Romania. It is true. You can still see people in the small towns cutting grass with sickles and hauling it and their families around on horse drawn wagons. There is a huge gypsy population. In fact, the Romanian word for gypsy is Roma from which the word Romania is derived. It is fun to see those things of the past. However, that same desire to hold onto the old way of life is also keeping the church hanging onto many old traditions that are impeding it’s effectiveness in the modern world. There is a strong religious spirit still alive and well in Romania. The Lord used us to help bring down the traditions of man that are keeping those seeking God from entering into His gates. It was refreshing to connect with some fellowships and individuals who do have the revelation of what the Lord desires to do now with His body. We met several wonderful, loving people and new friends in that country. Thanks team for working togetherimgRoadCrew to pull this trip off under the direction and power of the Lord.

On August 30th we head to Finland to unite with Keijo and Hannu, the key part of our team there. By the time most of you receive this, we will be there. After ministering for a short time in Finland, we will take a ferry across the Balkan Sea, arriving in the capital of Estonia. We will minister for a week there then spend the final weekend in Latvia. The Lord spoke to us several months ago that we would be going to these countries. He surprised us again with how and when it all came together. The Lord has opened the doors for us to bring a prophetic message to some areas in these former communist countries. A schedule of our trip will be posted on our web page.

Right after I get back from Estonia and Latvia, I will be heading to Argentina until mid December. During that time I will be ministering in Uruguay, possibly with another associate from the US, and then I will be passing through Southern Argentina visiting some places where we ministered in the past. Robert Johnson will meet me there before we travel into Chile and minister to some congregations in the southern most regions of South America for 2 weeks. After that, Robert and I will return to my base in Buenos Aires. From there, Robert will return to the US after a weekend of ministry there in the capital. I will then head north to minister around some of my former bases in northern Argentina before returning back to the US in mid December.

The most important reason for this newsletter is to alert you to my prayer needs. I am dead in the water without your prayer covering. Thank you very much for all your prayers and encouraging words. As you help us by your prayers, then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many (2 Cor. 1:11).

I could also not go on these trips without the financial support that many of you have aided me with. Thank you. God is creating a great team!

Summer 2006

Dear brothers and sisters in arms,

We recently returned from a very productive trip to Argentina. It was productive because you prayed and fasted together in one accord and our Lord responded. I flew to Buenos Aires in January after meetings with team members in Oregon, Arizona and Texas. Most of the first 3 weeks were spent preparing a small apartment that the Lord provided in a building with other Christian families. We now have a great location near the center of the capital of Argentina from which to base our South American ministry activities.

Robert Johnson, one of my primary ministry partners, arrived in Buenos Aires in mid February. We traveled 2,000 miles south to Rio Gallegos, the capital of the province of Santa Cruz in the part of Argentina known as Patagonia. We met with Ivan Vargas, our principle contact in Patagonia and began a message ministry trip through 4 new cities where we were directed by Spirit of God. The Lord gave us information about each place before arriving and specific messages to deliver in each city.

Following is a summary of what the Lord gave us for each city before we arrived. Piedra Buena would be a city at the crossroads. Gobernador Gregores would be a welcome mat thrown out by a noble people. Puerto San Julian would build bridges of unity. Puerto Santa Cruz would be a city awaiting encouragement. Rio Gallegos would continue to be the port of conquest.

The Lord touched people in visible ways in each town. Our biggest problem was reaching all those congregations that asked for our ministry without getting too tired. The Lord has really brought me a long ways from my earlier days. I must emphasize they did not want us because of our ministry talents, but because what the Lord was doing when they invited us in.

We are still marveling at the way the Holy Spirit moved and honored just to be connected with His moves. Words were given to us for most people at the meetings. The Lord gave Robert accurate words of knowledge for physical ailments amongst the crowd.

The pastors in Piedra Buena were very helpful and their house was a place of refuge for us. God is boosting them into a new beginning. They told us they would like to act as our base whenever we are in that area.

imgWomanHealedIn Gobernador Gregores, we were not only welcomed by the church, but were also asked to do a government radio program, then a television program, then a newspaper interview followed by a meeting with the city superintendent. The story of how God led us to their city touched not only the church but the city leaders. One lady from a very influential family that suffered from massive pain came to visit us after ministering one night. The Lord took all the pain away. She gave her life to Jesus Christ and was baptized before we left the area. She is the lady to the left in the picture above.

In the port city of Puerto San Julian, the pastor and primary contacts there had just returned from a conference in another city. Understandably tired, he scheduled us to go to houses of other church leaders. This was all part of the Lord’s plan for bringing leaders together. At our final meeting in that city, a record number of pastors with their congregations attended. The Lord responded to brothers and sisters working in harmony. Six pastors and wives from six different denominations came together for this event at which we took this historic photo below.
imgPastors
In Puerto Santa Cruz, the Lord encouraged many to step out in their callings. Our primary contacts there were pastors from the Assembly of God denomination. Because of the way the Lord was using us to encourage members of that congregation; we now have invitations, when the Spirit leads, to ministers in other congregations in Rio Gallegos. Four of the largest denominations have now opened their doors nationally to this ministry along with many other influential groups. His will, combined with your obedience to bring His will to earth, made all the difference. Every city where we ministered exceeded expectations.

The Lord is leading Robert and I both back to Finland for the month of April. Pray that we and our team members are guided exactly where and when to be there and that we are filled with His words and followed by confirming signs. Schedules will be posted on our web site as soon as we know them.

I am honored to have you with us in these battles. Thank you for your faithful intercession prayer team, especially for those times when He wakes you up in the middle of the night to pray for the team in the field. I also greatly appreciate the financial contributions that permit us to make the biggest impact. We could not even get there without your help. This ministry is not supported by any formal church, denomination or organization, but rather by individuals who believe they are to be part of this team. Spring 2006

God did great things on this last 3 week trip into Finland. Before the trip, He gave me direction that this was a mission to set the captives free. On April 10, Robert and I, along with our two primary fellow ministers Keijo and Hannu from Finland, headed to the capital city of Helsinki. From there, we traveled up to the northwestern high-tech city of Oulu, the same place we ministered the last time we were there. We stayed with pastor Esa and Mayra and ministered in their congregation. Also, we ministered at 2 other locations where God led us to give many words of direction to the church and individuals there. Calling out specific ailments we believed the Lord was showing us and watching those people acknowledge their ailments put us in awe of our Lord’s mercy and willingness to communicate details.

After Oulu, we ministered in 8 other cities. In Iisalmi, we were led to give direction for creating a horizontal structured church. In the city of Kaajani, a city we visited on our first trip to Finland, the Lord moved mightily after we delivered strong anointed messages. One lady began to manifest demonic bondage after I commanded a spirit of infirmity to leave her that had kept her in constant body pain. She doubled over and began acting as if fire were burning her and began trying to brush it and blow it out. This trip was a vivid reminder to me that most of us, even as Christians, do not put as much blame as we should on the evil part of the spiritual dimension for the problems we endure. For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against those mighty powers of darkness who rule this world, and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12).

imgTatuAs in the cities of Juuka and Polvijarvi, we saw people coming together from different denominations. We took a break in a town on the edge of the Russian border called Tuupovaara where we were invited to stay at a house that was located by one of the more than 80,000 lakes in Finland. Tatu, our host, is shown here with Robert and Keijo, next to this old mill built over 100 years ago. He has modified it with a modern electrical generator, giving him and his neighbors’ access to power, even if the public power grid goes down. I can use this as another example of why the church should minimize dependence on large organizations and simply tap into His power by positioning ourselves to allow His Spirit to flow through us. We were coerced into jumping in those icy waters after a traditional Finnish Sauna. That was nuts!

It was great to spend time with our long time friends, Anneli and Sinikka, in Mikkeli where we ministered in 2 big house meetings. Near Mikkeli, we stopped by a 300-year old castle built on a river island made entirely of rock and surrounded by water.imgCastle That is what God is saying to the church. Build your foundation on solid rock and you will be surrounded by the water of His Spirit.

In the city of Kouvola, a new city that the Lord led us to northeast of Helsinki, He connected us to a wonderful head pastor couple, Arto and Saija. They have been involved in a great work in other parts of the world. The pastor gave us freedom to minister as we believed the Holy Spirit was directing. He responded by giving us some words of knowledge for healing that were all acknowledged by ailing people who were present at the meeting. A professional looking lady came to me and wanted to know what I thought was God’s calling on her life. She said she was not working right now and wanted to spend her full time doing whatever the Lord wanted her to do. The Lord responded by showing me He wanted to use her to establish many of the new things He was leading His church to do. She said, "I knew it, but I feel something is trying to stop me from doing it". I then began to take authority over anything that was hindering her calling. A minute later, she was on the floor writhing, crying and screaming. I continued to minister to her with Saija. Robert got involved as God gave him insights into the rejection she experienced from her parent’s as a young girl that brought on demonic bondage into her life..until now. God freed her from her captivity that day. Hallelujah! Thank you, Lord Jesus, for freeing us all. Help us receive it all.

God moved tremendously. This was indeed a trip to set the captives free. Whether it was freedom from old mentality, old methods, man’s traditions, old structures or plain old gift-robbing demons, God set the captives free during our trip! Jesus came to set the captives free, and we had the privilege of being His representatives in Finland.

Thank you very much for all your prayers and directional words from the Lord that you sent to us. God is creating a great team. I thank God for you spiritual and material supporters who are part of it. Thank you.

The Lord is leading Robert and I both to minister in Romania on June 6. This country is a dark area that the Lord wants to illuminate and it appears He wants to work through us to help do it. We have been in contact with a saint of God who has scheduled us to minister under a tent and in local churches. It appears that this trip will be more evangelistic than normal. Pray that we and our team are guided to do exactly what He wants us to do, that He fills us with His words and follows with confirming signs. Schedules will be posted on our web site.
