Organization

pageAMI was created as a support organization to facilitate and enable its members, whether board members or those focused primarily on missions, to accomplish what the Lord leads each of them to do.
Members of AMI are connected together not to decide for each other what we should do, but to pray that each of us hear clearly what we are to do individually and to pass on anything we believe we hear from the Holy Spirit to each other that could aid in confirming that God given direction.
Amor Ministries International (AMI) is simply the name associated with a group of people that the Lord has strongly yoked together. As long as the government does not hinder anything that this group is called to do, we find it beneficial to take advantage of the benefits which organizing as a non-profit corporation in the USA can afford us and those who support us. As a USA registered entity, Amor Ministries International is organized exclusively for religious and charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
AMI is governed presently by a four member Board of Directors committed to providing oversight, guidance and support to the ministry staff.
Greig Detering, has overall leadership responsibility overseeing general operations, reporting to the AMI board. Serving as President for AMI, he currently is also the only full time employee.
Robert Johnson, located in the U.S., serves as a mission trip leader and together with Greig has responsibility for field mission trip leadership.
Greig and Robert travel separately to some ministry locations and travel as a team to others, depending on God’s leading. But they are only part of the team that the Lord is raising up associated with this ministry.
AMI has four permanent locations established in Phoenix, Arizona, Dallas, Texas, Eugene, Oregon and Buenos Aires, Argentina. The ministry also has three remote Mission Coordinators located in Finland, Spain and Argentina who cover Northern Europe, Western Europe and North Africa, and South America, respectively.
AMI is supported by a three-person U. S. based team responsible for media and communications.
