July 2009 – Finland

Greetings Friends!

We arrived safely in Finland and were confronted with rain and a windstorm. The word of the Lord was that “it would be raining in Finland to announce your arrival.” The Lord gave a word concerning a strong wind that would be present when we entered Finland. The wind was very strong and trees were blown over. We were told that all of Finland experienced this storm and that it was rare to have a wind like this. The Lord had spoken these things in advance before our arrival. The storm was not by God, but the information concerning the storm was God and it began our journey with a boosted confidence that He had sent us.

All the meetings had surprises and good things to report in some manner. I would like to give a few words that the Lord gave me before coming to Finland and how even during times of wondering what was going on we would still be comforted during this trip. Here are some highlights:

Kouvola – The first home meeting in Kouvola was a nice beginning with the word from the Lord that it would be “low key” but still significant and full of wonderful happenings. It was! The next evening in the Soihtu church the word was, “Greater numbers of experiences there. Manifestations will appear bringing transformations.” Most of the people from the home meeting the night before were in the church. Several people, including Aini, whose house we were staying in, received their healing. I spoke about the Final Season and people responded to the Lord’s prompting and came forward. Aini, an older woman who had suffered from a sleeping disorder for over thirty years and serious sinus problems, was prayed for and the power of the Lord was present for us to heal the sick and she slept for hours that night when usually she would sleep one or two hours a night, troubled with sinus pressure and having to take medicine just to sleep. We now know that Aini is sleeping many hours and free of the sinus problems. Another healing was a woman who had tremendous migraine conditions resulting in heavy medication, no sleep and serious back problems. Deliverance took place and the garbage was thrown out quickly. The report came many days later that she needed no medicine and had no migraine headaches or sinus problems. The back problems were down now to half and declining. Many people received good news, healing, comfort, deliverance and hope and confirmations for their lives.

Tuupovarra – there was a word from the Lord for this city and meeting which was that a wire had been cut in two between man and God, the connections had been severed. A poison had entered the people’s minds and bodies. The Lord said that we needed jumper cables to jump-start the dead battery. The day of the meeting we stayed with Tatu and Riley, who own the place where the meeting was taking place. Riley was at work and she left her car lights on. The battery was completely dead. Tatu took jumper cables and jump-started the dead battery. (He had not heard the jumper cable “word” yet. It was shared with him after he dealt with Riley’s car.) These kinds of words accompanied us through the entire trip and we constantly presented them in writing to the people or read them with the date recorded when it was written. This became extremely significant throughout the trip and the Finnish people took notice of such simple words. God was lifting a poison from the people of Tuupovarra, which were dead from spiritual poisons as well as physical. The Lord had spoken to me even about the river that runs behind Tatu and Riley’s home that very few fish are in the river these days but the word of the Lord was that He would increase the population of the fish greatly and change the makeup of the water. I went to II Kings 2:19-22 where the prophet Elisha threw salt into the water to heal the water. Tatu and I took the salt and threw it into the water after reading the word and proclaimed healing and a great increase in the population of the fish. Tatu’s job is that he has three cabins for the tourists to come and stay, relax, fish, etc. No fish means less time staying. The word came before entering Finland. The next morning I was sitting outside talking to the Lord. I said to the Lord as I pointed across the river to a particular place, “Confirm this word about the fish in this river by having a fish jump by this rock that was on the other side of the river.” Five minutes later a big fish jumped four times and while it was jumping, another fish very close by to the first fish jumped also.

Outo Kumpo – The word here was, “A very quiet people, but they are still listening. I want to partner with these people,” says the Lord. Quiet people they were; it was almost scary how quiet. We gave many prophetic words from the pulpit and just pointed them out and gave the words to almost all who were present. One main leader there, who spoke English, said that he had known all of these people for over 20 years and all the words were 100% accurate and that he hadn’t seen anything like this for a long, long time. We were thanked very much and received highly. They felt we had become part of them, thus fulfilling God’s purpose and plan to partner with them.

Polvijari – We had been there before, but we were not comfortable with this place this time and felt something was out of place. A few words were given by each of us and we were able to help a few people.

Kolari – This was a six-hour drive and beautiful country. The meeting lasted all day. We started at 11:00 AM and finished 8:30 PM. We had three meetings and a great deal of prophetic words. The people were moved greatly and it was obvious God’s Spirit was moving. Some words for Kolari were that, “the chimes are beginning to sound in Kolari announcing your arrival.” Five minutes after sitting down in the house, a nearby church bell rang twice. This was exciting for sure! “A warm breeze from the south would come.” The next day it poured down rain while we were in the meeting. I spoke to the people about the rain and that I knew that they wanted the sun. I told the people they would have some sun the next day. The next day the sun came and we went hiking into the Lapland Mountains. When we returned from the day off and beautiful sunshine it began to rain. Another word from the Lord was, “Arctic thunder.” Soon an arctic thunder began to sound with a beautiful lightning. We were told that the thunder was not common in the Lapland. God touched so many that the invitations to come back were great. Another word was that, “We would meet a man from the Norwegian border. This man has a big place for meeting.” We were invited to the far northern place for a full week of speaking. Somehow this man recognized my name from being told by others from the past and was very much interested in having us come.

Kemi – We didn’t have good thoughts about this place, but we ministered, gave some words, and moved on, seeing some moves of the Holy Spirit.

Oulu – Many lives were changed and healing occurred. The people were lifted up and strengthened. Many confirmations were given in the messages and words. Invitations to return were given to us. The Lord had me give a word about the prophets taking the pulse of the people to see if they were feeling okay. It was an icebreaker for when I would ask to take the pulse of someone they would quickly reach out their hand and God would give the words needed to each one.

Iisalmi – This was an unscheduled stop and was put together fast. The Lord said that it would be a healing night. Everyone who wanted to receive healing, in whatever form, would receive it. Many people were touched just by standing. All the people were prayed for and many experienced healing at that moment. Some people were set free from bondages quickly. A great night as the Holy Spirit set many free from hurts, pains, sickness and disease.
