EARLY DAYS
My wife Feather and I both were born and raised in Cottage Grove and have deep roots in South Lane County.  We met during the late 70’s during the Friday night Faith Center college age gatherings on the U of O campus.  After living for 2 ½ years at the House of His Presence, Dan moved back to Cottage Grove and began Maranatha House with another dear brother in the Lord.  A local church was birthed out of this house ministry and in 1981 we were married.  This past Valentine’s Day we celebrated our 44th wedding anniversary!

FAMILY LIFE
We made an intentional decision to stay in Cottage Grove to raise our children, three daughters and a son, for the purpose of grandparents and great grandparents to influence in their lives.  This meant navigating home life on a single income while choosing to home school our kids.  We now have been blessed with thirteen grandchildren in our lives!  Dan retired in 2018 having finished the last 14 years of his work career as a founding partner in a wood ceiling manufacturing company.  9Wood, Inc. is still operating in Springfield, Oregon today.
In 2012 two family properties came into our stewardship. We now spend time tending an estate vineyard on Dan’s childhood home and tending Feather’s multi-generational home on Kauai Island.  We truly believe this blessing is the result of honoring a multi-generational investment in our family’s future.  To God be the glory!

CHURCH LIFE
Dan held a staff position on and off at Cottage Grove Faith Center in the late ‘80s as the budget allowed.  During a fourth pastoral change in 2016, Dan received a profound prophetic dream which prompted us to emerge out from denominationalism (the church as an attractant model) which started us on our pioneering journey seeking out our unique ministry gifts, calling, and assignment.

MINSITRY LIFE
While on our journey, knowing our calling was to remain in Cottage Grove, our hearts were longing for an apostolic wineskin and connecting with other Kingdom-minded saints in this region.   It was in June of 2023 during an Oregon ministry trip that Greig Detering sought us out for an initial meeting which then followed with a regional prophetic gathering acknowledging and affirming our apostolic / prophetic gifts.  We are excited at this time to be co-laboring with others called to serve as foundation layers and see the Ecclesia of Cottage Grove being built and His Kingdom being established on Earth as it is in Heaven!
